Visiting Nebraska

Ogallala to Omaha, Nebraska's Interstate 80 is a major travel corridor for residents, visitors and travelers in and through the Cornhusker State. Located on America's great plains, Nebraska is a leading farming, ranching and agriculture production area for the US. North Platte is home to Union Pacific's Bailey Yard, the largest train yard in the world. Sports fans recognize University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, who compete in 14 different sports with 21 varsity teams. The NCAA Division 1-A Football team is arguably the most famous and popular for residents and alumni. The 2010 Husker Football schedule begins regular season play with two non-conference home games. Western Kentucky opens the season at Memorial Stadium on September 4th, and Idaho comes to town the week after. A match with Colorado wraps up the season at home November 26th.
